Brass Quintet #2

This is a contemporary classical work in four short movements.  Though highly chromatic, it is harmonically based and accessible.  The first and third movements are simplistic and Renaissance-like in their 'open' harmonic structure, while the second and fourth movements are more aggressive and contrapuntal.  The work's first movement opens placidly, while the fourth and final movement finishes with a flourish.

The American Brass Quintet gave it a reading, and Raymond Mase subsequently wrote, "It is a fine work and we are happy to have it in our library."
