Desert Flower (for Violin Quartet)
Desert Flower is a short contemporary classical work for four violins. Though it is chromatic, it is harmonically based, with a wide range of tonal colors and moving melodic lines. It was written to commemorate the 90th birthday of the violin teacher Dorothy Croft, and was premiered by her students.
